Hackney Development Plan

The Hackney local plan is the statutory land use and development plan for the borough which sits alongside the London Plan. It provides the spatial planning framework for Hackney to deliver the sustainable community strategy.

Hackney's existing local plan (formerly local development framework - LDF) comprises the core strategy (adopted November 2010), the development management local plan (adopted July 2015), the site allocations local plan (adopted July 2016) and adopted area action plans.

The new borough-wide local plan 2033, known as LP33, will be the key strategic planning document used to direct and guide development in the borough up to 2033.

Once adopted LP33 will combine and replace the existing Hackney plans - the core strategy, development management local plan and site allocations local plan as well as the area action plans for Dalston, Hackney Central and Manor House.
