Local Plan Part 1: The Core Strategy (2011 - 2026)


The Rossendale Core Strategy Development Plan Document was adopted on 8 November 2011 and sets out our policies on development and land use.


The emerging Local Plan for the Borough (2019 to 2034)


The Local Plan will designate land and buildings for future uses to meet the Borough's needs and set out what developments should look like and how they should fit in with their surroundings.

The Rossendale Local Plan 2019 - 2036 was adopted by Rossendale Council on the 15th December 2021 and has replaced the Rossendale Core Strategy (2011 - 2026) referred to above.
