Newburgh Conservation Area

The Newburgh Conservation Area was designated as such in 1970, and was the first Conservation area designated in the West Lancashire Borough Council area. It was reviewed in part in 1977 and again in 1990.

The historic core of Newburgh comprises of a mixture of 17th,18th and early 19th century houses and former farmhouses.

Most of the Newburgh Conservation Area is also subject to additional planning constraints in the form of an Article 4 (1) direction.
