Calderdale Local Plan

Calderdale Unitary development plan

The statutory development plan for Calderdale is the Replacement Calderdale Unitary Development Plan (RCUDP). The plan was adopted on 25th August 2006 and amended in August 2009.

The Local Plan will be the new development plan for Calderdale.

The Calderdale Local Plan was submitted to Secretary of State on Friday 11th January 2019. This is so it can be examined by an independent Planning Inspector.

It will replace the Replacement Calderdale Unitary development plan (RCUDP) when it is approved, which could be in 2020.

Note: Until then, all planning decisions are based on the RCUDP and the National planning policy framework (NPPF 2018).
