Ordsall Riverside

The council has prepared planning guidance to provide the framework for the transformation of the Ordsall Riverside area of Central Salford into a vibrant mixed use area comprising residential, commercial and leisure uses.

The planning guidance establishes the context for pre-application discussions with landowners and developers, serves as a material consideration in the determination of planning applications within the area, and facilitates the delivery of the masterplan through directing section 106 contributions to fund and implement the proposed public realm and infrastructure works.

The planning guidance was adopted by Salford City Council on 15 July 2008.
